Clouds, from all sides now, 2025

We are excited to announce Paddy Cohn’s new exhibition “Clouds, From All Sides Now”. The opening reception will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Cohn delves into the enigmatic qualities of clouds—how they symbolize both the fleeting and the eternal. Cloud illusions are a sensory journey that challenges our perceptions and stirs our imagination. Exploring themes of impermanence and mystery, Cohn challenges the viewer to reimagine the familiar and question the boundaries between reality and representation.

Her inspirations are blending the imaginary essence of Rene Magritte’s clouds with the realism of Gerhard Richter’s. In “Weightless Reflections,” explores the balance between reality and illusion through the interplay of a single cloud, its shadow, and its composition. deep navy sky and the vibrant green grass plane add an element of surreal contrast. The lone white cloud floats weightlessly above, while its shadow anchors it to the earth below, creating a shadow...

In “Just a Cloud Away,” the vibrant cobalt blue saturates both the background and the frame, creating a seamless expanse of vivid color. Like a window into a cloud.

Cohn reimagines the cloudscape, infusing it with bold, unexpected hues—vivid hot pinks, rich emerald greens, and profound navy blues. These saturated, luminous tones transform traditional skies into surreal
