Robin Rice curates another exhibition at Hudson Milliner Art Salon, presenting Tucker Robbins Home along with a selection of Robin's gallery artists. The installation image is only a small preview of the exhibition. 
 
With over forty years of experience collecting and designing furniture, Tucker Robbins has been collaborating and storytelling with other designers, curators, collectors and artists. This exhibition presents a collection twenty years in the making from Tucker's patron Phillip de Loach. Tucker's creations “celebrate the native voice; honoring mother, ascension, catching light and the circle of life.” 

The Robin Rice Gallery is pleased to present Surfing Color, a photographic exhibition by Haik Kocharian. The opening reception will be held on June 14, 2023 from 6pm to 8pm.

The idyllic and playful world of The Peconic Bay in Southampton, NY dances to life in Luciana Pampalone's first solo exhibition. Each location was scouted by Pampalone and transformed into a vintage 1930s setting by the use of her models and props. A Graphlex camera, aviator goggles, parasols, retro bathing suit and games of croquet, (just to name a few) subtly tamper with the past, breathing life back into the 1930s. Moment by moment, Pampalone encapsulates the ephemeral quality of life, bending and blending human subjects within the natural landscape.

For many, Summertime is a fondness brought on whilst relishing in the lingering mist of the crispy ocean breeze. Each summer, Rice curates her favorite show, The Summertime Salon, and transports us to a world where we can delve into this very summer sentiment. With its smells, sounds, and architecture New York City might redefine what we know as a summer’s day, but Rice, with her intricate curation, brings our classic understanding of summer to the city.

Photographed entirely in the ethereal lakeside environs of the Adirondacks, Lynda Churilla's latest exhibition synthesizes the aesthetics of strength and softness. Central to this aesthetic theme is the portrayal of Churilla's husband and muse John, who she describes as a source of inspiration. Standing nude and silhouetted in the foreground, the powerful form of John's body is rendered stoic and subdued by multiple mist‐wreathed aquatic expanses and looming woodland scenes.

In the hazy, warm New York summer, little is more refreshing than reclining on the beach in the mist of the icy ocean waves or enjoying a family trip to the country house. Each summer, Rice curates her favorite show, the Summertime Salon, which reminds us of this exact seasonal sentiment. The two, long walls of the gallery become mosaicked, top to bottom, side to side, in photographs that evoke all the preeminent feelings and memories of summer. Each year, the Summertime Salon matures and Rice's annual masterpiece comes into fruition. This year is no exception. The show is a haven of what the Robin Rice Gallery stands for, a community of art and experience.

In this dream-based series, water becomes a metaphor for sky. The invitational image, Bourrée, depicts a woman suspended in soft hues of blue, floating upward as if ascending into the heavens. In Arabesque, the model seems to tumble gracefully through clouds, arms outstretched. Olson's color images are surreal and mysterious. In most of the images there are refractions of light and bits of clouds that blend together, leaving us feeling as if we are looking at watercolor paintings.

The Robin Rice Gallery announces SUMMERTIME Salon 2012, the annual group show of photographs by gallery artists.

This yearly show is synonymous with summer. The collection immerses the viewer in the mood of the season with its breezy and joyful tone fused with a contemporary edge. The artful curation reflects Rice’s signature style—an aesthetically unified yet eclectic blend of photographic styles and sizes hung in the salon from floor to ceiling. The SUMMERTIME Salon highlights Rice’s talent for selecting diverse, intriguing images that come together like a beautifully complicated puzzle to evoke the perfect harmony of summer. It is the best of what is and what might be—full of peacefulness, yet ripe with possibilities to be seized.

In his new body of work, Gordon Stettinius presents Notes From US Route 1. This collection of color and sepia toned images, lies somewhere between Robert Frank’s, The Americans and Alec Soth’s, Sleeping Along the Mississippi. Stettinius has given us a memorable and clear eyed meditation upon the American road trip and a particular moment in time, awash with motels, roadhouses, wanderers, and characters that have been included in any modern back road odyssey.

The Berkshire Project was offered to John Dolan in the form of a yearlong grant from the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation in honor of its 20th anniversary. An award-winning photographer, Dolan was chosen to document the region’s scenic beauty and local character because his images are prized for their ability to convey the vital spirit of the people and places he photographs.

Bill Phelps eliminates all the props, save his model, and plunges into the ocean, literally and symbolically in the fourteen, black and white limited edition archival prints featured in his second solo exhibition with the Robin Rice Gallery. Using a tight close-up as his point of view, Phelps submerges your senses into the sparkling surf, where occasionally a naked body lurks suggestively, playing in and out of your sight.

Jet Lag reveals the insightful musings of a reportage photographer working on both fine art and commercial projects. While traveling the world, McLaughlin has captured seemingly uneventful moments that bind very different cultures together through life's routines. “When you travel a lot,” McLaughlin explains “you get a sense of the commonality throughout the world.” His series of twenty photographs, provides both seasoned explorers and arm chair travelers with the opportunity to better understand and embrace our shared humanity.
